March always marks one of the busiest times of the year for college athletics, and that's certainly the case at The University of Alabama this week. If you factor in the number of events and the opponents in each sport, this might be the biggest week of the Spring calendar. Here are the highlights:

  • Men's basketball still has a small chance to earn an NCAA Tournament birth, but they'll have to win on the road at Ole Miss (Tuesday, 8 p.m. on ESPNU) and at home against Georgia (Saturday). A loss to either and they're are basically eliminated.
  • Softball hosts 4th-ranked Florida on Wednesday night before traveling to Knoxville, Tennessee, for the first SEC series of the year against another top-10 opponent in the Lady Vols. Alabama's unblemished record of 22-0 will be on the line this week.
  • Baseball will square off against rival Auburn in Montgomery on Tuesday night before traveling to Louisville for a non-conference series against a team ranked as high as number four in the nation last week.
  • Gymnastics travels to Baton Rouge on Friday to take on a fellow top-5 team in LSU.

There are other sports in action, including men's and women's golf as well as the NCAA Indoor Championships for Track and Field.

As the first week of March begins, which sport are you most excited about watching this week?
