He joins Wilkin Formby, Olaus Alinen and Ryqueeze McElderry as the fourth offensive lineman to commit to the Tide in the 2023 cycle.

Standing at 6-foot-6, 358 lbs., McVay features excellent size, and combines it with above average athleticism. He has played both guard and tackle in high school, but most recently suited up as a book end, helping guide his team to an appearance in the 2021 State Championship game.

247Sports' Allen Trieu says, "[McVay] plays with a sturdy base and has the natural power and strength to where he is tough to bull-rush, but he is also skilled enough as a pass protector to handle speed rushers."

After getting off to a somewhat slow start in the 2023 cycle, Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide have dominated the recruiting trail over the last month, adding several four and five-star prospects to the class.
