Even though we're at the end of October, with temps still in The 80's, a few of our animal friends have forgotten what season it is, and our still lurking out there....Like THIS Copperhead Snake for instance! Yikes!!!

Earlier this afternoon while I was driving out of my subdivision, I noticed a large "Branch" in the middle of the roadway. As I approached it, I saw the "Branch" move. At first, I thought it was a gust of wind which had caused the "Branch" to travel a few feet, until I looked closer and saw this "Branch" slithering across the street! Indeed, this was NO ordinary "Branch", this was a SNAKE!!! Now, this isn't uncommon, because I've seen an above average number of snakes in my neighborhood, and even my backyard this season. But I can't recall ever seeing a snake this late in the year! Apparently, with the unseasonably warm temperatures, they're confused and don't know that they're supposed to start hibernating now.

However, not to worry....because I managed to put this snake into "Permanent Hibernation" when I backed over it with my car.

Score: Linguinimobile 1 - Snake 0
