Bar Fight in Lake View Brings Felony Assault Charges
A 45-year-old man has been charged with second-degree assault, a Class-C felony, after a bar fight at the Lake View Country Club in eastern Tuscaloosa County.
Lt. Jack Kennedy, the assistant commander of the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit, said a fight broke out at the country club's bar Sunday night and one victim was hospitalized with "significant injuries."
The suspect, Travis Lee Nail, was detained at the scene. Kennedy said after hearing witness accounts and realizing the extent of the victims' injuries, the district attorney's office opted to charge Nail with second-degree assault.
Nail was booked into the Tuscaloosa County Jail with on $15,000 bond. He had been released on bail Wednesday morning.
