The severe weather that swept through West Alabama this past Sunday (April 6th), made a direct impact on our main transmitter. Lightning. Yeah, a lightning strike ended up frying some of gear and damaged the transmission line. During the outage, we went to our backup transmitter. It's lower power and is located at our studios on Skyland Boulevard. So, on the most part, you could still listen to us this past week around the city of Tuscaloosa. But, not much beyond that. Unless, you listened live here at the website or on the RadioPup app. We didn't miss a beat on our digital platforms.

Well, after a week of repairs, which included climbing up the tower, the work is finally completed! Now, B101.7 is back to normal, where you get Kidd Kraddick in the Morning and All the Hits!

We received quite a few messages of concern over the signal by email, Facebook, and Twitter.  Mostly, those outside of the Tuscaloosa/Northport area (out of the range of the backup transmitter). Thanks for your patience and for showing how much you care about B101.7! Hey, it is your station!
