Tax Day 2015 is starring us down, as some begin to sweat the approaching April 15th filing deadline.  Take a break with this interesting look behind the numbers for this dreaded day.  Hey, to make it more fun, the report is presented in a fun infographic!  Did that make you smile?

Here are few highlights in a report compiled by the personal finance website WalletHub:

  • $2B: Estimated 2015 losses due to reduced IRS enforcement staffing
  • 28 Min: Wait time for the average IRS caller
  • 16 Hrs: Time it took the average American to complete their income tax return in 2014 (down 47% from 2006)
  • 4M: Number of words in the U.S. tax code (5X the Bible and 4X all of the Harry Potter books combined)
  • $21B: Expected losses due to tax-refund fraud in 2016

The one that grabs me the most, four million words in tax code! Yeah, if that's confusing and you call the IRS, be ready to wait around a half hour for help!

Let's get deeper with this infographic.  Really, tell me if I'm crazy, but the below stats are interesting.
