Alabama Remains No. 1, SEC Has Eight Teams Ranked in AP Top 25
The Southeastern Conference placed eight teams in the latest AP Top 25, but only Alabama is ranked higher than 15th.
The Crimson Tide received 56 of the 61 first-place votes after a 38-10 win over Western Kentucky on Saturday. It's the third straight week that Alabama has sat atop the weekly rankings.
Tennessee leads a group of seven SEC teams that are ranked between 15th and 24th. Georgia took the biggest tumble (from 9th to 16th) after a two-point victory over Nicholls.
The biggest surprise might be Clemson dropping from No. 2 to No. 5 following its second-straight close game over unranked opponents.
