“That was Alabama gymnastics – belief in each other, choosing faith and confidence over fear and digging deep to perform with heart. We were prepared for a fight, we knew it was going to come down to the last routine and our ladies stayed in the ‘Bama Bubble’ and delivered. They competed for one another. It was truly a magical evening," said Duckworth after the win.
Alabama had four athletes win Co-SEC Championships, Blanco posted a winning score in the vault, bars and beam, freshman Shania Adams and sophomore Makarri Doggette also posted winning scores in the bars and Graber posted a winning score in the beam.
The victory is good for Duckworth's second SEC Championship after her first victory came in 2015.
Up next for Alabama Gymnastics will be the NCAA Regionals. Coleman Coliseum will host the event April 1-3 as the Crimson Tide strives for another championship to add to its trophy case.
