Alabama fraternity house suspect in custody

The University of Alabama received reports of an armed individual at the Phi Delta Theta fraternity house at 190 University Boulevard this morning.

An email and text alert was sent advising students to “please stay away from this area.”

As of noon today, UA says the suspect is in the custody of the Tuscaloosa Police Department. A press release stated "TPD has the suspect in custody off campus. No one was injured on campus and no students were involved. Please resume normal activities."
The Crimson White tweeted that the “[…]Gunman was previously employed by UA and is going through divorce with a member of the house kitchen staff.”
