As of 8:00 pm April 6, 2020, The Alabama’s COVID-19 Data and Surveillance Dashboard shows over 2,000 confirmed cases of COVID-19. The exact number of confirmed cases is 2,006 with over 14,000 listed as the total tested number.

Tuscaloosa County now has 74 confirmed cases, Jefferson County now has 438 confirmed cases and 5 reported deaths from illness. We're still hoping to flatten the curve in Alabama with the statewide stay-at-home order issued by Governor Kay Ivey. We're also encouraged to use social distancing when out at grocery stores and other essential businesses.

Cahaba Medical Care will be opening a drive-thru testing site for COVID-19 this week. The site will be located at the Bessemer Civic Center each Wednesday 1pm-5pm until further notice, starting April 8th, 2020. If you need to know about other test sites in your area click here, and then click on the tab that says "test sites" for an interactive map system.
