Are you watching USA's breakout summer hit, Mr. Robot? If you haven't checked it out yet, I suggest you call in sick and start binge-watching immediately!

I mean it, y'all. You cannot sleep on this one. Mr. Robot is incredible, intense, and unlike anything I've seen on television before. I don't know why I waited so long to start watching; I guess I thought it would be another ho-hum series from a network whose high point is Monday Law & Order: SVU Marathons. I was obviously wrong; Mr. Robot's receiving rave reviews--it has an almost unheard of 97% rating on Rotten Tomatoes--and I decided it was time to check it out for myself.

I was hooked after the first episode.

Y'all. This show is sooooo good. Everything about it is good; it's artfully directed. The cinematography is stunning; the original score is so awesome I listen to clips of it on the reg. The cast is amazing (Christian Slater is in it!), and the acting is top-notch. Like, if Rami Malek doesn't get an Emmy nom next year, I don't know what to believe anymore.

Here's the official series description:

In MR. ROBOT, Elliot, a cyber-security engineer by day and vigilante hacker by night, is recruited by a mysterious underground group to destroy the firm he's paid to protect. Elliot must decide how far he'll go to expose the forces he believes are running (and ruining) the world.

Mr. Robot is kind of like Fight Club meets Hackers plus Memento with a dash of American Psycho; it's an incredibly inventive series--so much so that I feel as if I am doing it a grave injustice by comparing it to things that already exist.

Y'all.

You have GOT to get on this immediately. Watch it on demand. Watch it online. Watch it Wednesdays at 9 p.m. on USA.
