I’m Only 25 Years Late, But I Am Finally Watching ‘Twin Peaks’ and It’s Blowing My Mind [VIDEO]

I consider myself to be cool. I'm probably more pretentious and nerdy than I am cool, so I feel like I should be ashamed by this admission: I, MEG SUMMERS, HAVE NEVER WATCHED TWIN PEAKS.

UNTIL YESTERDAY. I had some free time and was perusing Netflix for something to watch; I decided it was time I earned my Cool Kid badge and finally watched the show. I've been a fan of David Lynch's films for years, but even my familiarity with his later work couldn't prepare me for this whacked-out masterpiece.

I'm five episodes in to Season One, and I am hooked. I will probably end up purchasing the Twin Peaks: The Entire Mystery on Blu-Ray (see the trailer above) because I am already THAT obsessed with this show.

How have I lived this long and NOT seen Twin Peaks? So many years of my life have been wasted not knowing the strange effervescent sexiness that is Special Agent Dale Cooper. 90's Kyle MacLaughlin was a Baberaham Lincoln.

I can't imagine what a trip it must have been to watch this show when it originally aired. I have been ruined by technology, and as I watch I can pull up reddit, Tumblr, or a myriad of other fan sites to see infinite show theories--and I read it all on my phone. I don't even have to leave the couch. I have NO IDEA how y'all waited to talk about this at the watercooler the next day back in 1990, because DANG.
