This Sunday Starts Daylight Saving Time
You can feel the excitement about spring being around the corner. On the past “sunny” days, you saw Alabamians out and about enjoying the sunshine. This tells me that people are ready for some beautiful spring-like weather. I know I am most certainly ready. The first step to head us all in the direction of spring is the “time change” or “spring forward.” I don’t know if I “love” the time change, but I do enjoy having more light at the end of the day to enjoy some time after work. For me, I’m just a wobbly for a few days because of the adjustment to sleep schedules. According to Time and Date, “March 8, 2020 – Daylight Saving Time Starts. When local standard time is about to reach Sunday, March 8, 2020, 2:00:00 am clocks are turned forward 1 hour to Sunday, March 8, 2020, 3:00:00 am local daylight time instead.” Also, a historical note about Daylight Saving Time from Time and Date is that “DST is used to save energy and make better use of daylight. It was first used in 1908 in Thunder Bay, Canada.”
