Taylor Swift Announces NYC New Year’s Eve Performance + More on ‘GMA’ [VIDEO]
Swifties, not only is Taylor Swift's '1989' officially here, but she also revealed that she'll be performing in Times Square on New Year's Eve and has just been named the New York City Welcome Ambassador.
T. Swift appeared on 'Good Morning America' this morning (Oct. 27) to not only dish about '1989' and her die-hard fans, but to share the exciting New York news.
"The cool thing about being named the Welcome Ambassador for Tourism -- which was the craziest, coolest thing, is that I'm still learning but I'm so enthusiastic about this city," Taylor excitedly explained. "When I really love something, I'm very vocal about it … so I think they just picked up on that and gave me a title," she said, laughing.
And Taylor will also be headlining 'New Year's Rockin' Eve,' performing in NYC's iconic Times Square on the most celebrated night of the year.
"Yes!" T. Swift excitedly exclaimed when anchor Robin Roberts broke the news. "Party!"
