Meet Kravitz, the rat terrier mix dog who is our Pet of the Week with the Humane Society of West Alabama. Having a name like Kravitz, you know he is ready to rock your world!

This little guy is 3 years old and weighs a light 18 pounds. He has a smooth black and white coat.

Kravitz was pulled from our local animal shelter, where he had been picked up by Animal Control and no one came to claim him after being down there almost 2 months. The Humane Society of West Alabama now has him in their shelter.

I noticed in the short time with Kravitz, he's pretty calm, easygoing and inquisitive dog. He is very friendly and likes to be with you.

The Humane Society notes: Kravitz is not too hyper, with a moderate energy level that should be okay in an apartment if he gets daily walks. He will require a fenced in yard if left outside any unattended. Kravitz should be good with children ages 10 and up and seems to do well with other dogs. We have started his crate training.

Kravitz is up to date on his vet care, neutered, heartworm negative and micro chipped. He is on heartworm and flea/tick prevention. What a fun fellow that is ready for his forever home!

If you are interested in giving Kravitz the forever home he wants and deserves, visit the Humane Society of West Alabama at HumaneSocietyofWA.org or call (205)-554-0011.

Okay, are you really ready to ROCK!! Oh yeah, it's time for the video featuring Kravitz, and different versions of the Lenny Kravitz song, 'American Woman.'  Take a look at the video below.  You may find yourself singing too!
