Good news for music and movie fans: Tuscaloosa's legendary Oz Music will open its doors for shoppers again on Monday, June 15th.

Oz has been offering curbside shopping in recent weeks; however, the independent record store will allow shoppers into its building for the first time since March when the store reopens Monday. Only two customers will be allowed inside of the store, and those who do shop will be given a 20 minute time limit for perusing the store.

Customers will be required to wear a face mask and use hand sanitizer before entering the store; Oz also asks shoppers to practice social distancing and stay at least six feet away from each other and store employees at all times. For those who still feel uncomfortable shopping in the store, Oz will still continue to provide curbside service.

This announcement couldn't have come at a better time, as Saturday, June 20th, is Record Store Day. Even with the COVID-19 restrictions in place, I am so, so glad to know that my favorite record shop will be open for RDS2020. Oz is a kickass record store and such a vital part of the Tuscaloosa scene, so check them out when they reopen Monday.
