Orange Bowl Media Day, Practice Make Up Busy Thursday in Miami for Alabama Football
Alabama football headed to Hard Rock Stadium for the team’s Capital One Orange Bowl media day at Hard Rock Stadium to start off Thursday in Miami. Following the morning interview circuit, the Crimson Tide returned to the practice fields at Barry University for a late-afternoon workout.
Alabama took part in the Capital One Orange Bowl’s full-team media day at Hard Rock Stadium to start off the busy Thursday. The entire team spent the hour-long morning session speaking with media members about the upcoming matchup with Oklahoma. Thursday morning’s time at Hard Rock wrapped up with a tour of the Crimson Tide’s locker room and the field before the team traveled back to the hotel. Just a few hours later, UA put in a two-hour practice at Barry University, the team’s 11th of 12 practices on the schedule in preparation for the 2018 Capital One Orange Bowl.
Top-ranked Alabama and No. 4 Oklahoma will meet at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Fla., for the College Football Playoff Semifinal on Saturday, Dec. 29, with a 7 p.m. CT kickoff. The Semifinal matchup will air on ESPN with Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit calling the action from the booth while Maria Taylor and Laura Rutledge add commentary from the sidelines.
The Crimson Tide and Sooners will meet for the sixth time in series history, with Alabama holding a 1-3-1 all-time mark against OU. The Tide is 1-1-1 in postseason play against the Sooners, with the two teams last meeting in the 2014 Sugar Bowl, a 45-31 Oklahoma victory.
