The State of Mississippi will soon have a new flag, as lawmakers have voted to remove the state's current design.

Mississippi was the last state to feature a flag displaying the Confederate battle emblem. CBS News reports the bill to remove the flag passed 91-23 in the Mississippi House of Representatives and 37-14 in the Mississippi State Senate. Governor Tate Reeves said he would sign the bill into law.

The State of Mississippi will vote on a new flag design this November.
