18-Wheeler Wreck on I-20/59; Heavy Traffic Delays
As of 8:40 a.m. Wednesday, ALGO Traffic reported this wreck as cleared.
A wreck on Interstate 20/59 EB is leading to heavy traffic delays Wednesday morning.
ALGO Traffic reported that the wreck was on the way to Birmingham from Tuscaloosa near McCalla. The wreck occurred at mile post 102.1 at Exit 104.
ALGO Traffic reported in an update that all lanes but the left shoulder were currently blocked.
Cap Ray Allen, Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa's Traffic Reporter, stated that the collision was between two 18-wheelers and had backed traffic up for miles.
ALGO Traffic predicted the wreck would not be cleared till 9 a.m.
Around 7:55, Cap Ray Allen commented on Facebook that the traffic was beginning to clear.
