Panthers Win First Game in Bryce Young Era

Former Alabama quarterback Bryce Young has won his first NFL game, leading the Panthers to a 15-13 nailbiter over the Houston Texans.

The game-winning drive marked the first time since 2018 that the Panthers had a fourth-quarter comeback, where Cam Newton led Carolina to 21 unanswered points to beat the Philadelphia Eagles 21-17.

During that time, Young was still enrolled at Mater Dei High School in California.

Young threw for 235 yards on 31 attempts and a touchdown in the win, outplaying No. 2 overall pick C.J. Stroud.

Young orchestrated the final game-winning drive for Carolina, throwing for 50 yards to help put Carolina kicker Eddy Pineiro in position to knock the game-winner in from 23 yards out.

Young's former Alabama teammate, Will Anderson Jr., also had a productive game, earning one TFL and three tackles in the loss for Houston.

After starting the season an abysmal 0-6, which led many Panthers fans to voice their dismay with head coach Frank Reich, Carolina finally gets their first win in the Bryce Young era.

The Panthers will look to build this momentum next week as they welcome the Indianapolis Colts to Bank of America Stadium.
