Humane Society’s May Dog Adoption Event to Be Held Saturday in Tuscaloosa

Here's your chance to meet a variety of adoptable dogs as the Humane Society of West Alabama presents their May 'Meet & Greet.' The event is happening at Tuscaloosa's Pet Supplies Plus on McFarland Boulevard Saturday between 10am and 2pm!

If you've been thinking about getting a dog, you should definitely consider adoption. It saves lives and money, compared to buying a dog. You see, every dog adopted makes room for other dogs. Plus, you save money as HSWA has each dog checked by a vet to ensure health, provide necessary shots and if need be spay or neuter.

The Humane Society says, "it's a common misconception that animals end up in shelters or with rescue groups because they've been abused or done something wrong. In fact, most animals are given to shelters or rescue groups because of people reasons, not because of anything they've done. Things like a divorce, a move, lack of time, and financial constraints are among the most common reasons pets lose their homes."
