Tuscaloosa Amphitheater welcomed more music icons over the weekend, as the Steve Miller Band with special guest 38 Special came to town! Check out my epic highlight photos from the show!

It really is impressive for this relatively new venue in a small city like Tuscaloosa to have the ability to bring such big names over the years. John Mayer, Kelly Clarkson, and Dave Matthews Band have all played here, to name a few.  Sure, everyone has an opinion on who should play here, but you can't deny there has been a variety of acts since opening four years ago.

So, the opportunity came up for me to see a pair of rock acts, and I wasn't going to pass!  Even better yet, I was able to squeeze up close to take some really awesome photos!  Like, one of 38 Special lead vocalist and guitarist Don Barnes.  Yeah, he's is totally rockin' out, leaned back with his guitar shooting up. It made me think of how I need to play Guitar Hero. Oh, another really interesting photo shows a glowing Steve Miller Band set list on the stage. It was glowing.

I ended up sharing a few of these photos on my Facebook page. I joked how Steve Miller is a fan of the casinos as proved in "The Joker" song lyrics, "I'm a joker... I like winning tokens." The real line is, "I'm a midnight toker." Well, crickets for me and my knee slapping humor. Hmm. I thought it was funny.

Both bands were excellent. They were so good that I forgot how hot & muggy it was until the show was over. Really, walking out it hit me, man- it's really hot tonight.

Anyway, let's get to the photo highlights from the show with the gallery posted below.
