If you’ve ever wanted to sling some webs like your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man, you’re in luck: Disney’s new Marvel Superhero Land, set to debut at Disney California Adventure in 2020, will include a Spider-Man attraction that equips visitors with a web-shooter of their very own. Just maybe leave the skyscraper-hopping to the pros, OK?

Blumhouse Productions is a name you’ve seen in front of numerous recent hit horror films and franchises, including The Purge, Get Out and this year’s Halloween. With over 70 titles released and another handful on the way, Blumhouse has become a genre film powerhouse — one that has yet to release a single horror film directed by a woman. CEO and founder Jason Blum has an explanation for that, and it sounds pretty ridiculous.

And so it begins: HBO has revealed the first official look at Watchmen, Damon Lindelof’s upcoming series based on Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons’ beloved graphic novel of the same name.

Scott Wilson, an actor best known to contemporary audiences for playing Hershel on the earlier seasons of AMC’s The Walking Dead, has passed away at the age of 76. The actor’s representative confirmed the news to TMZ today, noting that Wilson passed away peacefully at his home in Los Angeles following complications due to leukemia.

There is a moment early in Suspiria when Tilda Swinton’s Madame Blanc ruminates on the concept of rebirths and “the inevitable pull they exert and our efforts to escape them.” Blanc uses this description in the context of Volk, a stunning dance production born from the harrowing World War II era of Berlin, but it’s also an apt way to describe Luca Guadagnino’s interpretation of Dario Argento’s stylish horror classic — it’s not a remake, but a rebirth or reincarnation, in which Argento’s old ways are forced to reconcile with Guadagnino’s new.

Gareth Evans captivated audiences in 2011 with The Raid, a pulse-pounding action-thriller that showcased his fascination with Indonesian martial arts as well as an exceptional knack for editing and fight choreography. For his fifth feature, Apostle, the Welsh filmmaker ditches many of the elements with which his name has become synonymous in favor of a grim fable about a religious cult in the early 20th century. It’s solid enough, though you’d probably never suspect Evans directed it if his name wasn’t in the credits.

With Solo hitting home video formats in a couple of weeks, Lucasfilm has unleashed several pieces of really cool concept art for the Falcon, giving us a closer look at how they de-aged one of the film’s most significant characters.
