On Monday the Alabama Men's Basketball team was announced as the number 24 ranked team in the nation in the USA Today coaches poll. Outside of the pre-season polls, it is the first time since December of 2011 since the Crimson Tide made the top 24.

While the AP (Associated-Press) top 25 did not have Alabama in their top 25 teams, Alabama received an impressive 173 votes, which is the most of any team outside of the top 25. Alabama has not been in the top 25 in the AP poll since November of 2017.

Alabama has won 5 games in a row and  begun the season 4-0 in SEC play for the first time since 1986 looking to continue that trend against a red-hot Kentucky Wildcat team on Tuesday night. The Tide will look to take over 1st place in the SEC. Alabama has not defeated Kentucky on the road since 2006.
