Alabama Outside Linebacker Declares For The NFL Draft
Alabama redshirt senior Chris Allen has signed with Priority Sports Agency and will take his talents to the NFL. Allen missed most of the 2021 season with a foot injury he endured in the season opening game against Miami. Allen also missed the 2018 season with a knee injury but was granted a medical redshirt.
Allen opted to return for his senior season in 2021 but unfortunately suffered a foot injury after a strip-sack in the Miami game. His injury left a hole that the Tide worked all season to fill, using Drew Sanders, Chris Braswell and Dallas Turner in his place.
Despite the injury, Allen is expected to be a Day 2 NFL Draft pick in the spring. Day 2 consists of Round 2 and Round 3 of the NFL Draft.
Allen concludes his Alabama career with 61 tackles, 19.5 tackles for a loss, 7.5 sacks, 4 forced fumbles and one fumble recovery.
He led the SEC in tackles for a loss as a junior in 2020 and for his efforts he was awarded second-team All-SEC.
Allen leaves the Capstone as a multiple national championship and SEC championship winner as well as with a degree.
