Alabama Holds Firm at No. 2 in Newest CFP Poll
The Alabama Crimson Tide remains ranked No. 2 in the latest edition of the College Football Playoff Poll. In fact the entire top six remained the same following college football's Week 11 slate.
No. 1 Georgia defeated Tennessee 41-17 in Neyland Stadium to wrap up its first 8-0 conference record in school history. The Bulldogs will play Charleston Southern this coming week before finishing week Georgia Tech.
No. 2 Alabama rolled to a 59-3 victory over New Mexico State at home. The Tide can clinch a place in the SEC Championship with a victory over Arkansas in the final home game of the season.
No. 3 Oregon took down Washington State 38-24 and will now face a No. 23 Utah on the road. The Ducks will likely play the Utes for a second time as the two sides appear to be headed for a Pac-12 Championship game collision.
No. 4 Ohio State knocked off No. 19 Purdue 59-31. The Buckeyes appear to have a tough road ahead as its next matchup is a home date with No. 7 Michigan State before closing out the season on the road at No. 6 Michigan.
The No. 5 Cincinnati Bearcats beat South Florida 45-28 on Friday night. Desmond Ridder and company will try to put up an impressive victory over SMU to try to impress the committee before finishing the season with East Carolina.
Who will be in when it's all said and done? The College Football Playoff Committee will make its final selections at noon on Dec. 5 to determine the final four teams in the playoffs.
