Adam Levine Talks About ‘D—-bag’ Image in GQ Interview
Adam Levine knows he's been called a "d-----bag" before. He just doesn't seem to care.
In a candid interview with GQ, the Maroon 5 frontman gets honest about his public image, and digs into whether he actually is a d-----bag or not.
"Would it be really easy to assume that I was a d-----bag?" he says in the interview. "Definitely. One hundred percent. But that doesn't mean that I am." He then later adds, "Or maybe I am, I don't know."
"I'm confident," he later admits. "Some people don't like confidence. They resent confidence." But does he think he's a likable person? In regards to the perception and rumors that's hooked up with several Hollywood celebrities, including Lindsay Lohan, Jessica Simpson and Paris Hilton, Levine defends himself. "All of a sudden, I had money in my bank account. I hadn't had a break in a long time. And I went a little f-----g nuts. You know? I deserved to go a little bit nuts. And I had the time of my life."
But Levine does see himself turning the volume down a bit. "People change; people grow up, get more self-aware and in tune with all this s---."
As for his fiancee, Victoria's Secret model Behati Prinsloo? Levine wants people to know that he doesn't love her just because she's a model. "I don't date what the person does," he says. "I date the f-----g person. You know what I mean?
