‘What’s in My Bag:’ Spring 2014
Time for me to spill out the contents of my bag and show you the absolutely ridiculous amount of stuff I carry with me at all times--It's time for a Spring 2014 Edition of "What's in My Bag?" I got a new designer handbag Friday when I was out getting thrifty with it--I scored this Jessica Simpson bag for $1.99. YEAH. A DOLLAR AND NINETY-NINE CENTS. It's in flawless condition, and I am in love with it--anyway--this is about what's IN the bag, not the bag itself, so here we go!
There really is an obscene amount of stuff here. I may have a problem. Let me list my hoard for y'all piece by piece.
- Hairbrush
- Lint Brush (the funky-looking blue thing with plastic bristles. Works like a charm)
- Keys
- Headphones
- Wallet
- Coinpurse
- Phone Chargers
- Sharpies and Pens
- Sunglasses
- Sophie la Giraffe (for a certain toddler who is in the midst of cutting molars)
- Froggie teething toy
- Paddington Bear Plays Sports (I'm like 95% sure this came from a Chick-Fil-A Kid's Meal)
- Spray Hand Sanitizer
- Quilted Pouch (where I store my coupons and perfumes)
- Perfumes: DKNY Pure Verbena and Calvin Klein Endless Euphoria
- EOS Lip Balm
- Dollar General Lip Balm
- Bajillion cards for my awesome stylist, Wade Brasfield with Bodyworks, which I hand out to pretty much everyone I know
- Two Tins of Nivea Creme
- Baby Powder
- Deep Sea Cosmetics Nail File and Buffer
- Got 2 B Rockin' It 4EVER Style Stay Hairspray and Volumizing Powder
- So You Know It's Me-- a lovely work from local author Brian Oilu. I purchased it last year and have been re-reading it the past few days. It's such a beautiful and haunting collection of lyric essays--all written in the form of Craigslist 'Missed Connection' ads. You really should buy a copy. It makes me swoon!
- Brookstone "Dustin" 2-in-1 Phone Cleaner
- Rite Aid Oil Blotting Tissues
- Mini Kabuki Brush (I think this came with a random mineral foundation I bought a year or two ago--love this tiny kabuki!)
- NYX Matte Lipstick in 'Alabama' (This crimson shade couldn't have a more fitting name, y'all. It's perfect.)
- NYX Butter Lipstick in 'Cotton Candy'
- NYX Butter Lip Gloss in 'Vanilla Creme Pie' (a bit of a misleading name--when I hear "vanilla," I think of a pale, champagne color which this gloss is not. It's a sweet pale pink.)
- NYC Big is Beautiful Plumping Lip Gloss (Clear)
- Neutrogena Mineral Sheers Pressed Poweder Foundation in Natural Ivory
- Benefit Bad Girl Lash Mascara (Travel Size)
- Benefit Dandelion Ultra Plush Lip Gloss (Travel Size)
- Benefit Dandelion Pressed Blush (Travel Size)
- Benefit Benetint Lip and Cheek Stain (Travel Size)
- Benefit Girl Meets Pearl Face Brightener (Travel Size)
- Benefit Fake-Up Hydrating Concealer (Travel Size)
- Wet-n-Wild Megaslicks Lip Balm Stain in 'The Lady and the Vamp'
Really. I don't know how ALL THIS STUFF fits in one purse. I think my addiction to Benefit Cosmetics is glaringly obvious right now, too. I can't help myself; they're my favorite cosmetic company. I'm obsessed with NYX lipsticks and glosses, too--I only have about 1/5 of my rapidly-growing collection in my purse. The rest is taking up some prime real estate on my bathroom counter.
And there you have it--the contents of my bargain designer bag. What's in your bag? What products can't you live without this Spring?
