What are Hot Cocoa Bombs and Why Are They All Over Your Feed?

Winter is here, and that means cold weather, sweaters, and plenty of nights spent lounging next to the fireplace.

One of my favorite ways to stave off the winter chill is to take a hot bath; this is always my go-to self care move, especially when I toss in a bath bomb for some fizzy aromatherapy.

Imagine my surprise when I saw a friend of mine raving about hot cocoa bombs. I initially thought this was a bath bomb that smelled like hot chocolate, so I was like wierd flex but okay; however, I was SO WRONG.

Hot cocoa bombs are little balls of chocolate that you place into a mug. You then add piping hot milk or water and watch the "bomb" melt, give it a stir, and enjoy a cup of cocoa.

Hot cocoa bombs come in a variety of flavors, too. I've seen salted caramel, peppermint, and dark chocolate--and I love watching videos of hot cocoa bombs melting away to reveal marshmallows or other treats inside.

I know I should be watching my sugar consumption but it's 2020. I am allowed to consume chocolate in any and all forms, so if you need me I will be purchasing and devouring every hot cocoa bomb within a 20 mile radius.
