West Alabama Is Under a Tornado Watch Until 7 PM Sunday, April 30th
An approaching severe weather system has led the National Weather Service in Birmingham to issue a Tornado Watch in effect for much of our listening area until 7 p.m. this evening (Sunday, April 30).
Severe storms are possible throughout the day, and these storms could produce isolated tornadoes. Damaging winds in excess of 60 MPH are possible as well as large hail. The forecast graphic from the NWS shows the approximate timing for today's severe weather event.
Remember to be weather alert throughout the day. We will provide you with live and local severe weather coverage from Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa's own Meteorologist Bobby Best in the event of a tornado warning in our area.
