We Shouldn’t Be Surprised About the Most Watched TV Show Last Week
Last week many 4th of July celebrations were rained out around the South, as it rained and rained. Those of you who were like me at the beach with no fireworks, looked to get our holiday fix somewhere.
The TV ratings have come out for last week and it shouldn’t be a surprise the big draw for the 4th was Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular. The program was top rated for Independence Day and 5th most watched for the holiday week, according to the Nielsen Company. An estimated 7 million people tuned in.
The NBC show drew star power with Mariah Carey. I didn’t get to see her performance; did she have another ‘wardrobe malfunction’ with that super tight dress she keeps sporting? Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran performed ‘Everything Changes’ together.
As I watched Taylor and Ed, I noticed there could be another wardrobe malfunction, this time for a dude. Ed Sheeran’s pants looked like there would be a possible escape. Talk about a random thought I had watching it, the ‘Pants on the Ground’ guy from American Idol a few years back. Do you remember General Larry Platt and his audition? I still think it remains the funniest, if not the best moment of the show.
Here’s the video clip featuring Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran performing ‘Everything Changes’
