WATCH: AJR Refuse to Leave Sloss Fest Without Playing a Song
This year's Sloss Music and Arts Festival was plagued by thunderstorms, and severe weather forced many bands to cancel their sets. AJR wasn't going to let that happen.
The band was scheduled to take the Monster Energy Shed Stage at 6:30 p.m. last (Sunday, July 15th) night, right in the middle of an especially lengthy weather delay. AJR was told they couldn't plug in any instruments, so they decided to do things their own way.
In the videos above, you can see the band grabbed their guitars and performed a sing-along acoustic version of "Sober Up" for the fans who'd been holding out for just one song. I think it's awesome that the band played for festival attendees, as the weather at Sloss this year was THE WORST. Shoutout to AJR for taking the time to do something really special for the fans.
