Want To Smell Like Outer Space?  New Scent Developed By NASA

I love perfume.  I would say I am a collector of all various types of scents ranging in prices.  My mother also taught me that you should never rub your wrists together with applying fragrance. Also, she would tell me that a little goes a long way.  With that, I believe, I am well versed in perfume [insert laughter] Needless to say, smelling like outer space caught my attention.  According to Kickstarter, “Decades ago, NASA designed a fragrance to train astronauts on how Outer Space smells. Now we're releasing it to the world.”  Interesting!  They say everything is in the name.  Well, this fragrance is perfectly called “Eau Du Space.”  According to CNN, “It was created to help astronauts train before launching in orbit, and it was part of NASA's goal of eliminating any potential surprises astronauts might encounter or experience in space.”  I’m always on the hunt for a new scent (as long as it doesn’t involve lemongrass, gardenias, and lilies).  I am curious about what “Eau Du Space” would smell like.  CNN interviewed the product manager Matt Richmond, and he revealed that “that he has struggled to describe how the fragrance smells, adding, "Astronauts describe the smell as a mix of gunpowder, seared steak, raspberries, and rum."  Boom, I’m sold at the word “rum.”
