VIDEO: Nick Saban Wishes Deontay Wilder Good Luck in Heavyweight Title Fight vs Fury
WBC Heavyweight Champion Deontay Wilder is set to defend his belt this weekend and he's getting support from another champion back home.
Alabama head coach Nick Saban, who will be playing for an SEC Championship just hours before Wilder's fight, sent a message of support to the Tuscaloosa native this week.
Wilder is the favorite this weekend in his fight against Tyson Fury on Saturday night in Los Angeles. Fury, 30, has never lost a fight in 27 attempts and rose to prominence after defeating Wladimir Klitschko in 2015 to claim the unified heavyweight belts. He wouldn't fight again until June of this year but has won two matches preparing for this showdown with Wilder.
The undercard will begin at 8 p.m. on Showtime PPV with Wilder likely heading into the ring around 10:30 or 11 p.m.
