Funny how time flies! Vexes know that sentiment all too well, having seen their debut disc Ancient Geometry garner critical praise from Loudwire and others in 2018 and now looking forward to what the future holds. But before they look ahead, they're looking back -- specifically to the '80s, as they've just covered three well-known '80s favorites and shot a video for their take on Tears for Fears' "Head Over Heels."

The Kurt Fowles-directed clip, seen above, finds the band members awash in an array of bright and dark colors, mostly lit from the light wall behind their performance and some lasers used for the performance as well, giving the video a very new wave feel.

Their three '80s covers -- the other two being fresh and grittier takes on Johnny Hates Jazz's "Shattered Dreams" and 'Til Tuesday's "Voices Carry" -- are being added as bonus tracks for the European reissue of Ancient Geometry, but can also be streamed or downloaded on their own.

“We are thrilled to be working with Silent Cult and to have the opportunity to have our music be heard by an expanded audience around the globe through the reissue of our debut album Ancient Geometry," state the band. "We’ve been writing for the better part of nine months or so now for the follow up to AG, and as a 'break' from that process and as basically a thank you to anyone that has listened to us thus far, we wanted to put our spin on a few of our favorite songs from the '80s. All of the songs that we chose were very influential to us in various ways, both from the standpoint of our personal lives and in the general vibe of our music. There is a lushness and delicate quality to the sound of the original tracks, and such a great pop sensibility, and this is something that we try to incorporate in our sound, while trying to blend this with a bit of ferocity and vulnerability as well. We hope that everyone enjoys our take on these classic tracks.”

If you like what you hear from "Head Over Heels" and want to check out the other two covers, you may do so via Amazon, iTunes and Spotify. The European reissue of Ancient Geometry will come via Silent Cult on June 21.
