BABH 5K Race Coordinator Elizabeth Schlichting joins me in studio with an update on the Beat Auburn Beat Hunger food drive and info on the upcoming 5K run!

The food drive's 2015 goal is a lofty 325,000 pounds, which will stock the West Alabama Food Bank for 7 months. As of October 28th, 10% of the goal has been reached. We have a long way to go!

Red collection barrels scattered around town, like Tuscaloosa Library, Ferguson Center Food Court, Rise Center, and Women's Resource Center. Plus, many other spots on and off campus, click here to see the map for other locations.

Donating actual food is not the only way you can help the cause, events like the Beat Auburn Beat Hunger 5K go a long way to raise funds to buy food!

The theme for this year's BABH 5K is "hat's off for hunger!" This means, bring your smile and craziest hairdo! There will even be a table set up at the race with volunteers prepared to help give you crazy hair!!
