Possible Shooting on University of Oklahoma Campus [UPDATED]
UPDATE 1:30 P.M. EST: False alarm.
A report of shots fired on the campus of the University of Oklahoma came Wednesday morning. Police are on the scene; no victims have been reported as of yet.
The university sent the following message to its community shortly thereafter:
The shooting allegedly occurred in Gould Hall, the architecture building, which is just a short distance from the football stadium.
More recently, the school updated its Facebook page, saying:
As of this time, no evidence has been found of any shots being fired. There are no injuries reported at this time. Both the Norman and OU police department have very quickly responded as well as emergency personnel. President Boren is at the scene. Normal campus operations have resumed except for Gould Hall where additional checking is continuing.
