Two Deaths Reported on Alabama Roadways Since Saturday
Alabama Law Enforcement Senior Trooper Reginal King has reported two separate accidents that claimed to lives of a Marion man and Greensboro man.
- A two-vehicle crash at 6:45 pm on Saturday, March 18th claimed the life of a Marion man. James Dereck Ryan, 53, was killed when the 2016 Harley Davidson motorcycle he was operating collided with a 2002 Chevrolet 1500 driven by Drake Allen Wright, 54, also of Marion. Ryan was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash occurred on Alabama 14 near the 84 mile marker, approximately four miles west of Marion. Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
- A single-vehicle crash today, March 20th claimed the life of a Greensboro man and injured two others. Thomas Hayden Drake, 18, was killed when the 2012 Infiniti G37 he was driving left the roadway and struck several trees. Drake, who was not using a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene. Two remaining occupants in the Infiniti were transported to DCH Regional Medical Center for treatment of injuries. The crash occurred at 3:30 am on Hale County 51 approximately six miles south of Greensboro. Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
