Party Makers and their online store Candy Apple Costumes have each donated a huge selection of costumes and accessories to the DCD at closeout prices.
The yard sale will also have several other donated items including: all sizes of adult and children's clothing, home decor, kitchen ware, furniture, records, toys and more.
A press release from DCD states,
Proceeds benefit the Druid City Dames Roller Derby Team, a Tuscaloosa-based non-profit organization formed in July of 2015 with the support of local brewery Druid City Brewing Company as one of the team’s primary sponsors. The Dames hold various fundraising events in order to cover costs of practice space, safety gear, and to support various other community programs and functions.
The Dames practice weekly at the Benjamin Barnes YMCA and Super Skate, and have begun to scrimmage and bout with other regional teams including Birmingham’s Tragic City Rollers, and the Dothan Wiregrass Wreckers.
The Dames will bout against the Mississippi Brawl Stars on Saturday, October 1st, 2016. The bout will be held at the Columbus Fairgrounds at 764 Highway 69 S, Columbus, MS 39702, and will start at 7:00PM.
