Your holiday season is about to get merry and bright--very bright!--when the Tuscaloosa Tinsel Trail hosts its official lighting ceremony at 5 p.m. on Monday, November 23. The grand opening features carols, food, and a special visitor from the North Pole!

Tuscaloosa's One Place hosts the annual Tinsel Trail, which has quickly become one of T-Town's favorite Christmas traditions. This year's Tuscaloosa Tinsel Trail features trees along the River Walk outside the Tuscaloosa River Market and the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater. The trees on the Tinsel Trail are sponsored--and decorated--by local businesses and organizations. Tree sponsors go ALL OUT when it comes to decorating, and the end result is a dazzling display of holiday cheer.

The Tuscaloosa Tinsel Trail Grand Opening will be held Monday at 5 p.m. outside of the Tuscaloosa River Market. Sounds of Joy, a local special needs adult choir, will sing Christmas carols, and Santa Claus is coming, too! Chick-Fil-A and Jim-N-Nicks will provide free cookies and hot chocolate, and tree sponsors will be on-site with information about their businesses and organizations. The Tuscaloosa Tinsel Trail Grand Opening is free to attend and open to the public.
