Police in Tuscaloosa are still searching for a missing 15-foot yellow python spotted in and around the Alberta area last week, but announced today that they have recovered a second python from a local residence.

Richard Rush, the city of Tuscaloosa's communications director, said the police department has identified a person of interest in the case of the missing constrictor and have removed a second python from a local residence.

Rush pledged to release additional information in the matter as it is discovered and said the safety of Tuscaloosa's citizens is the city and police department's primary concern.

Anyone who spots the 15-foot python that's still on the loose is is asked to immediately contact 311 or 911 so that the animal control division can react as quickly as possible.
