Get ready for a frighteningly good time! The second annual Monster Makeover and Art Auction is coming to the Mildred Westervelt Warner Transportation Museum Tuesday, October 27!The event will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and also features festival activities and a trunk-or-treat!

The Monster Makeover Art Auction is not to be missed. Here's what the Tuscaloosa Public Library had to say about this one-of-a-kind event:

For the sixth consecutive year, we asked local elementary school students to draw whatever monsters they could imagine, and then we distributed these drawings to local artists to re-create. The results, which can range from scary to funny to absolutely jaw-dropping, are shown side-by-side with the children's art at the coolest art show and auction you will ever attend. This year’s students are second graders from The Alberta School of Performing Arts. Proceeds from the Monster Makeover Art Auction & Festival will go into an arts in education fund established by the Community Foundation of West Alabama.

The event is free to attend, and T-Shirts will be available for purchase with proceeds benefiting the Arts in Education grant distributed to Tuscaloosa schools through the Art Council. For more info, check out the event's Facebook page HERE.

The Monster Mash Art Auction and Festival is sponsored by The Tuscaloosa News, The Mildred Westervelt Warner Transportation Museum, and The Tuscaloosa Public Library.
