Tuscaloosa Gems: Surin of Thailand on The Strip
Game Day is right around the corner and I have a place that gets 0 recognition on football Saturdays. Little known fact about me, before I was working in radio - I was a chef at a Thai restaurant in Omaha, Nebraska. So Thai food has a special place in my heart.
Since 1990, Surin has been serving authentic Thai cuisine to diners in Atlanta and the Southeastern U.S. First and second-generation lunch and dinner guests have now come to savor our regional family recipes and freshly prepared Thai dishes. Over the years, we feel that we’ve also created the perfect dining experience based on vigorous quality control, attention to detail and listening to our clientele.
With a focus on excellence and the highest level of customer satisfaction, we added culinary experts that were professionally trained by Japanese Sushi and Sashimi Chefs, bartenders, a full martini menu, wine list and daily food and drink specials. As our reputation grew, we expanded our operations into multiple locations without compromising those essential core values.
This Thai spot is the most unexpected drunk food spot here in T-Town. From their Paw-Craw-Pah to their classic Coconut Curry, you cannot go wrong with any of their plate.
Somethings you should look out for at Surin is:
Midnight Sushi: Thursday, Friday and Saturday Nights: 11- until, $1 Sushi and Appetizers, $5 Martinis, $3 Drafts and $1 Sake Shots - After School Hour Mon-Fri from 4:30 to 6:00 PM : $5 Chicken Teriyaki $5 super crunch and $2 California Roll.
