DC Comics' newest TV series Watchmen premiered on HBO last month, and now fans of the show can take the soundtrack of the series wherever they go. Today, Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross released Watchmen: Volume 1 (Music from the HBO Series) for streaming. Their soundtrack features haunting piano melodies and ambient synths, creating a tense atmosphere that transports you to the world of the show. Although Watchmen takes place in 2019, the score has an ’80ss vibe that will satisfy Stranger Things fans just as much as it will comic book diehards. You can give it a listen here via Spotify:

Reznor and Ross, who make up the industrial rock band Nine Inch Nails, are no strangers to crafting the perfect soundtrack. Their credits include The Girl with the Dragon TattooGone Girl, and The Social Network, the last of which won them the Oscar for Best Original Score in 2011. The duo also made an appearance in Twin Peaks: The Return, altering their bands' name slightly to "The Nine Inch Nails". This is also the name they go by in Watchmen, opening up a potential shared cinematic universe theory, but we don't even want to go there yet.

The critically-acclaimed HBO series is a huge win for DC Comics, and combined with their box office smash hit Joker, makes for one hell of an October. And if Robert Pattinson's interviews are any indication, 2021's Batman is bound to be impressive. DC Comics, you have our attention.
