Train Filled with 10 Million Pounds of Poop Stranded in Parrish
This small West Alabama town is full of crap--literally. Parrish, just south of Jasper on Highway 269, has a particularly nasty problem on its hands.
Over ten MILLION pounds of poop is rotting away in a Parrish rail yard. The biowaste was originally headed for Big Sky Environmental's nearby landfill; however, the neighboring town of West Jefferson recently filed an injunction that keeps the stiky sludge out of its city limits.
That leaves the City of Parrish in an especially... crappy... situation. The waste is said to be "Grade A" biowaste, which means it isn't raw sewage, but the stench is said to permeate the entire town, and city officials have even plead to Alabama Governor Kay Ivey for help.
