More severe weather is possible Tuesday night (April 29).  Strong to severe storms are in the forecast which are capable of producing tornadoes and/or flooding.

The National Weather Service office in Birmingham has issued a Tornado Watch until 10pm.  Meaning, weather conditions are favorable for the development of severe thunderstorms that are capable of producing tornadoes.

The watch area includes these area counties:

Bibb  -  Fayette  -  Greene  -  Hale  -  Jefferson

Lamer  -  Pickens  -  Shelby  -  Sumter  -  Tuscaloosa

All of West Alabama is also under Flash Flood Watch through Wednesday morning.

As the weather catchphrase says, "If you see a flooded road don't drown, turn around!"
