I remember taking this video like it was yesterday so it's crazy to think that I filmed this ten years ago.

We knew it was getting bad outside that afternoon but couldn't see much beyond our parking lot in the back of the station. I decided I'd go take a look outside the front door since we had a clear view of everything down both directions of Syland. I had only been standing in our parking lot for a minute or two when it just felt like I needed to document what was happening.

Then, there it was. I was scared to death. After it formed, it appeared to me that it was headed right toward our building. As you can see I quickly stopped recording and ran inside for shelter. Never knowing that the twister would go into Rosedale, down 15th Street, through Alberty City, then Holt, and even further before it let up.
