Tori Kelly joined the Kidd Kraddick Morning Show, talks about getting to where she is now and gives a unique acoustic performance.

The talented big voiced singer points out the interview she was first signed to record deal at 12. Looking back Tori Kelly says, "I'm glad it didn't work out back then, cuz I had a lot of figuring out to do."

It's pointed out she had breaks, but they didn't go very well. Like being on American Idol at 16, and being rudely cut from the show by Simon Cowell. Tori took being knocked down as an opportunity to keep climbing.

Tori Kelly remained dedicated to her music and was discovered by big time manager Scooter Braun. She talks about being "hesitant" at that time to even take a meeting with him, as Tori was having success being indepdent and didn't want to get burned again by the industry.

Fortunately for her, she did meet with Scooter, which lead to new record deal and a major debut album release.

The album, Unbreakable Smile, was released earlier in the year with the single 'Nobody Love' making it on the Billboard chart. Plus, the current single, 'Should've Been Us.'

We get to hear Tori Kelly belt out her singles off Unbreakable Smile and shares her inspiring story, while hanging out with B101.7's Kidd Kraddick Morning Show!
