This Lego Recreation of the Tua Tagovailoa 2nd and 26 Touchdown Pass Will Make Your Day
As Alabama gets set to play Georgia in Atlanta for the SEC Championship, it's impossible to not think about the way the game ended the last time these two played.
That iconic 41-yard strike from freshman Tua Tagovailoa to freshman DeVonta Smith in overtime propelled the Crimson Tide to its 17th national championship and one of the most improbable comebacks in college football history. So many different angles of that play have been shown over the past 10+ months, but we've never seen this version of the play.
Stop-motion animator Jared Jacobs shared this video of the play he created strictly from Legos and it's one of the best things you'll see all week. He captured all of the details of the throw, catch, and celebration down to the camera man getting run over in the endzone.
If you enjoyed that, check out some of the other work on his Instagram page. He's recreated some memorable plays in many different sports and it's some impressive stuff.
