This Alabama Town is Among the Most Beautiful in America
Something about the good news just lifts my spirits, and when it’s good news about the Yellowhammer State, that makes it even sweeter. A town in Alabama has earned a spot on the esteemed ‘Most Beautiful Towns’ list.
If you picked something with emerald green waters and beautiful sand, you would be wrong. If you think it’s something with lush evergreen landscapes in North Alabama. Or even a city with an absolutely stunning campus. Wrong again.
You might have passed this beautiful town from the Conde Nast list on a trip down south. It’s not on the beachside, but it truly is a hop skip and a jump away. It’s the last city where the U.S. mail is delivered by riverboat.
The town recognized as a gateway to the Gulf Bay Shores is located at the beginning of the Magnolia River. Magnolia Springs, Alabama is the “epitome of Southern charm, with oak tree-lined streets and historical churches, and friendly locals,” said the Conde Nast Traveler.
I see a long weekend getaway loading in the near future for me. There will be plenty of southern hospitality to go around. I know for sure that Jesse’s Restaurant is at the top of the list. Southern Living said, “although Jesse's is technically a steak house, the seafood is fresh from Gulf waters down the road, and you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. We suggest making a reservation. Not only does Jesse's fill up fast, you can pick which room you'd like to sit in ahead of time.”
